Suryummy Wins Big at SIGGRAPH VJ Battle | lightrhythm visuals

SAN DIEGO, CA : Lightrhythm artist and collaborator Suryummy went home with the first place prize from the SIGGRAPH “Synaesthetic” VJ Battle. Over a dozen artists from around the pacific rim and the US competed. First place honors were shared by Japan’s VJ Shinji. The competition was judged by a panel that included the publisher of IDN magazine.

Over the course of the night, attendees of the world famous computer graphics convention had a chance to see the work of several lightrhythm artists, including Videojon and Ben Sheppee. Congrats to Suryummy, who won a book published by IDN, some shiny new gadgets, and a meaningful affirmation of the brilliance of his work.
