lrv background

lightrhythm visuals was founded in 2003 as a publisher, to recognize the growing movement of vjs and independent video artists. the label released 14 compilation DVDs across 4 continents and published 240 films by over 70+ directors. we toured artists and ran club events and gallery installs and screenings to promote acts that stood out, often designing unique screen systems for custom projection setups.

lrv library

the lightrhythm library is a collection of over 240 films by top audiovisual desingers from the US, Japan and EU. It was curated to celebrate the diversity of the video medium where the elemental play of structure, light, and icon compete for the leading role. It embraces the intersection of film, art and and music, combining a consistent, modern soundtrack with museum-caliber images.

we now apply our 10+ years of experience of working with video, and a library of motion design to enhance a range of events in music fashion theater and tv. on top of full video production services, art direction and stage design have become a natural seg-way from our background in curating content for event spaces. we complete larger projects with the support of 50+ top freelance directors that we have published works for to fill a range of skills and moods and giving us a full palette to accommodate all types of projects.

LED and projection have become much more affordable and adaptable in recent years, and we have invested in a solid background understanding of technical processes and workflows. We know how to get video working across all mediums and make event spaces look great.

working with lrv

in 10 years of experience we have learnt that its important for clients to be involved in the creative process so that any “surprises” are good ones. that’s why we’ve developed an interactive feedback interface which allows clients to leave comments at specific moments during a video. you can approve video samples, email changes and share with our team directly. a manageable workflow that reduces mis-communication and the need for lengthy emails.

lrv workflow

After Effects

After Effects is a central part of our workflow due to its flexibility and compatibility with other softwares. Its the industry recognized software for motion graphics and allows us to composite elements from other software and apply them to complex LED pixel layouts with comparative ease.

Premiere

Premiere is our main editing tool. We use it to cut video to music or spot footage from rushes. Premiere works in line with After Effects and its possible to cut and paste edits and clips between the two softwares.

cinema 4d

in house our workflow incorporates cinema 4d – a powerful 3d software that has become more widely used since its purchase by adobe. we use cinema 4d to create visual contents and 3d virtual environments to pre-visualize your event space.

Illustrator

Illustrator is a powerful vector graphics software which allows you to scale an image to any size without loosing quality. Most logo files come to us in a vector format and through illustrator are directly transferable into our workflow.

Photoshop

Photoshop is an image software that can be used for photo touch ups, collages and mimick painterly techniques with a diverse range of graphic brushes. When we work with illustrators or storyboard photoshop becomes an important skill set in our pallette.
