ONLINE : Lightrhythm is taking part an the online broadcast event for Digital Fringe Festival 2008 October the 9th. Titled Netlag - the event will bring together NewYork, Melbourne, Perth and Tokyo for a series of interconnected events happening simultaneously, including everything from a Mobile Projection Unit (roaming streets of Melbourne, projecting the event signal onto walls) to a 9am DJ set from the founder of Create Digital Music+Motion, Peter Kirn. GLOBAL : Lightrhythm is backing the first release of new VJ talent Shantell Martin titled “Koob’s” late this year. The album will be a thorough documentation of her distinct, surreal style of drawing and showcase her groundbreaking techniques in live illustration and projection, following her practice from club to canvas.

Challenging herself with multiple processes and mediums the documentation highlights her positively unique style in an otherwise male dominated digitally occupied visuals scene. LONDON : Lightrhythm was approached to develop the new animated logo series for UK Based media serving company - Green Hippo - a leading technology company who provide high end visual hardware products for shows such as Beyonce, Cirque de Soleil and the Blue Man Group.
The new logo animations will be bundled with the new products “Portomus” and “Critter” and all other exsisting products. Check them out » here
US : Lightrhythm is striking a deal with Chicago based Akoo; a digital media and technology company that deploys and manages interactive networks. For its new project m-Venue Akoo have approached Lightrhythm to provide interesting contents to stream through m-Venue to phones, screens and other interactive technology.
At future m-Venue locations users will be able to activate lightrhythm content with their mobile devices through mobile Internet or text-messaging. Content available for selection would be discovered via table-top collateral materials, on LCD screens, and via a dedicated mobile Internet site. Keep posted for more info…
SPAIN : Several lightrhythm artsts performed at the Barcelona Primvera Sound Festival which took place at Parc Del Forum on 30th of May 2008. Joana Lopes, Actop, Ben Sheppee and about 8 other visual acts made sight to sound at the rock/electronic festival which featured headlining acts Portishead, Public Enemy, 808 State and Ellen Allien.

TOKYO : Lightrhythm Visuals and Thrid Ear, organized a release event at Seco Lounge in Shibuya to mark the release of the new compilation DVD “Ryuke – Tokyo Remix Sessions”. Several top lightrhythm acts were billed including VJMMM, Shantell Martin, Ben Sheppee and Kevlar, giving a solid platform for a dynamic audiovisual performance by VJ REEL and Broken Haze.
Key audio performances by the french act - “the shoes” and japanese allstar band “the samos” provided a dancable atmosphere which continued all night. Seco bar - recognized for its multiscreen setup was completely transformed for the event and gave an ideal canvas for the musical acts who were surrounded in everything from live drawing techniques to audio responsive light based arts.

WORLDWIDE : Lightrhythm Visuals and Insector Labo, announces they are releasing the ausiovisual compilation DVD “Ryuke – Tokyo Remix Sessions” early this year. Produced by two of Japans top CG and Motion Graphic designers the visual richness and dense textural works reconfirm Tokyo as a leader in visual content will be available globally on DVD from May the 1st 2008.
The two Japanese creators VJ REEL and K-Mixx formed a partnership in 2004 where they first concepted the album.
